MTP’s Broadway Master Class Series is thrilled to welcome Kara Haller (Cast Member and Associate Dance Captain) from the Broadway National Touring Company of SCHOOL OF ROCK during its stop in Philadelphia!

This Master Class session will bring the energy and excitement of SCHOOL OF ROCK through a fun and informative glimpse into the show's choreography taught by one of the show's cast members! Learn a dance combination from one of SCHOOL OF ROCK show-stopping musical numbers, gain some Broadway secrets in a Q&A/Talk Back Session, and have a personal photo opportunity with Kara!

MTP’s Broadway Master Class Series offers an exclusive experience for aspiring artists and life-long learners to study with talented experts from the professional world of musical theatre. Classes end with a question and answer session, giving participants a chance to gain unique insight into the world of professional theatre.

Appropriate Attire: Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in, as well as sneakers or jazz shoes. Feel free to bring a water bottle with you as well!

Bio:

Kara Haller is originally from Olney, MD but now resides in Manhattan, New York City. She got her BM in Musical Theatre at Belmont University in Nashville, TN and has performed all over the U.S. since graduation. She has worked at regional theatres such as the Gateway Playhouse, Ogunquit Playhouse, the Ahmanson Theatre and Musical Theatre West. Before touring with School of Rock, she went on tour with Beauty and the Beast as an ensemble member and that is where she met her husband, Michael, who played Lumiere. She is currently the swing and assistant dance captain of the School of Rock 1st National Tour and represented by Eddie Rabon at Take 3 Talent.

Jeremy Morse Bio:

Jeremy Morse is a New York City based performer, originally from Havertown, PA, who is currently on tour as Ogie in Waitress the Musical after having appeared in the show on Broadway as Ogie and Ensemble, Ogie understudy. In 2010 he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award (Featured Performance by an Actor in a Musical) for his portrayal of Lo Cocodrilo in Joe Iconis’s Bloodsong of Love at Ars Nova. Recent credits include Waitress (Ogie) at American Repertory Theatre, The Underclassman (Ham Samuels) at The Duke through Prospect Theatre Company, How to Succeed… (Finch) at the Walnut Street and Riverside Theatres, and Into The Woods (Jack) at North Carolina Theatre. . He has also performed at Paper Mill Playhouse, Goodspeed Opera House, The John W. Engeman Theatre, TheatreWorks Palo Alto, Gateway Playhouse and others. He frequently performs and collaborates with Joe Iconis, and he is an avid fan of the Musical Theatre Factory as well as MuseMatch in NYC. WICKED with Lauren Haughton (Ages 9+)

This session will bring the magic and excitement of WICKED through a fun and informative glimpse into the Broadway choreography. Learn a combination from one of the show's musical numbers, learn some Broadway secrets in a Q&A/Talk Back Session, and have a personal photo opportunity with Lauren! 

Lauren Haughton is currently on the National Tour of WickedBroadwayWickedOff BroadwayFools in Love; Broadway TryoutsTurn of the Century w/Tommy Tune at the Goodman Theatre, Sammy w/Leslie Bricusse at the Old Globe Theatre, Hans Christian Anderson w/Maury Yeston at Maine State Music Theatre. Regional: Lola in Damn Yankees (Arizona Broadway Theatre), Texas in Cabaret (Stages St.Louis), Belle in Beauty and the Beast & Irene in Crazy For You (Beef & Boards), Constanze in Amadeus & Estella in West Side Story (Syracuse Stage), Bitelle in La Cage Aux Folles (Merry-Go-Round Playhouse). 

Lauren has served as choreographer/asst.director on Trouble in Tahiti, Susannah, & The Tender Land for Northwestern University Opera. James has taught jazz dance in practically every city he has performed in. He has enjoyed working closely with performing arts students from Elementary school on up to master classes with University students and beyond.

This session will bring the magic and excitement of CINDERELLA through a fun and informative glimpse into the show's Broadway choreography taught by one of the show's National Tour cast members! Learn a combination from one of the show's musical numbers, learn some Broadway secrets in a Q&A/Talk Back Session, and have a personal photo opportunity with Giovanni! 


Broadway Master Dance Classes offer an exclusive experience for aspiring artists and life-long learners to study with talented experts from the professional world of musical theatre. Classes end with a question and answer session, giving participants a chance to gain unique insight into the world of professional theatre. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and bring dance shoes (jazz shoes or ballet flats) or sneakers!

ERICA MANSFIELD - PIPPIN

ERICA MANSFIELD is a NYC based Broadway performer. She recently closed on ON THE TOWN understudying the role of Claire deLune. Other Broadway credits include ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY alongside Kristin Chenoweth and Peter Gallagher, PIPPIN (u/s Fastrada), EVITA starring Daniel Radcliffe and MAMMA MIA! She has toured in Broadway productions of A CHORUS LINE understudying the roles of Cassie, Sheila, Maggie, and Judy, MAMMA MIA where she understudied Sophie, and the RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR  where she played Mrs. Claus. Some other regional credits include CARMEN at the Houston Grand Opera, THE BAND WAGON (City Center Encores!), THE LITTLE MERMAID (Papermill, PCLO, and Kansas City Starlight) and many others. Erica has had the honor of performing in the Kennedy Center Honors for the past two years, and the 2012 and 2015 Tony Awards

CAMDEN GONZALES - MATILDA

 

CAMDEN GONZALES hails from the San Francisco Bay Area where she got her start dancing at Katie’s Dance Studio and caught the theater bug at the youth theater group, Belasco Theater Company. Currently she is on tour with MATILDA: THE MUSICAL where she is the Children’s Dance Captain and a Swing for both the Adult and Children’s Ensembles. Some of her performance credits include WEST SIDE STORY (Riverside Theatre), MARY POPPINS (Alabama Shakespeare Festival) A CHORUS LINE (Maltz Jupiter Theater), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Utah Festival Opera), and FRIDA LIBRE (La Jolla Playhouse).
