What is Playschool?
Social emotional learning through performing. Music Theatre Philly’s Playschool teaches classroom readiness, fosters creativity, and develops independence through song, dance, and dramatic play. We focus on developing skills needed to excel in any preschool or kindergarten class. Students will find their voice through our performing arts based curriculum. Music, movement, and imaginative play, help children develop essential social, motor, and communication skills in a joyful, engaging environment. It’s a powerful foundation for both academic success and lifelong learning.

Rates:
1 Day/Week: $1,050
2 Days/Week: $1,890 (10% Discount)
3 Days/Week: $2,677 (15% Discount)
5 Day/Week: $4,200 (Get one day FREE)
Extended Day: 12 pm-3 pm Flexible extended care options available until 3PM. Students will participate in unstructured activities, eat lunch, rest, and visit The Playhouse under the supervision of their teachers. Extended care is priced at $15/hr and scheduled by the Lead Teacher on a weekly basis.

Curriculum
MTP’s Performing Arts Preschool Curriculum is a dynamic, play-based program that blends early childhood education with daily experiences in music, dance, drama, and creative expression. Designed to nurture young imaginations and build foundational skills, our curriculum encourages confidence, collaboration, and a lifelong love for the arts. Your child will explore movement, storytelling, rhythm, and song in a supportive, inclusive environment, all while developing critical early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Throughout the session, your child will be introduced to a wide range of artistic styles—including musical theater, physical comedy, classical theater, ballet, jazz, partner dancing, and musical genres like pop, jazz, classical, and rock—broadening their creative horizons and deepening their appreciation for the performing arts. Guided by passionate educators and professional teaching artists, every day is a joyful adventure where learning comes to life through the power of performance.
