MTP Players: A production company for the grown up theatre kid!
Were you a theatre kid in high school or college but haven’t stepped on stage since then? Have you always wanted to step into the spotlight but never had the opportunity? Well this is your chance!
MTP Players is a production company specifically for non-professional adult performers who want to have a little fun, meet new people and experience the joy of being in a show. Performers will work directly with MTP’s professional team of directors and designers to present a full production at Philly theatre for family, friends, and theatre lovers throughout our city!
All levels are welcome!
Tuition: All performers in the MTP Players company must pay tuition. These fees cover the salaries of our directors and designers, royalties for the production, rental of the theater and other production needs.
Barter Fellowships and Industry Rates: At MTP, we believe every person who has a desire to be on stage should be given the opportunity regardless of their financial circumstances. If you are unable to afford the total tuition, you can apply for a Barter Fellowship.
Barter Fellows can cover their tuition by providing service hours to Music Theatre Philly through the supporting the following:

Costume crew

Set and props crew

Marketing and promotion of MTP offerings

Other relevant Professional services
Industry rates are available to any person who works as a performing arts professional or an educator.
