Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences

TRIPLE THREAT DANCE introduces dancers to the foundations of ballet, tap, and jazz in a fun and supportive environment. This course is perfect for beginners wanting to explore new styles or actors wanting to hone their skills for a successful journey in musical theatre. In a session of Triple Threat Dance, students will be able to:

Demonstrate and name the 5 basic ballet positions, and fundamental ballet steps

KIDS CAST: GROUP VOICE LESSONS is additional rehearsal for actors enrolled in MTP PRESENTS production series! A professional Vocal Coach will guide students through the process of getting to know their voice while fine tuning music covered in weekly rehearsals. In a session of Group Voice Lessons, students will be able to:

Practice correct singing posture and breath support

Improve pitch accuracy, vowel shaping, and diction

Sing in unison and in simple harmony
-
Identify key musical symbols, rhythms, and notes in sheet music
-
Perform with expressive dynamics and facial expression in a showcase presentation

The following bundles are recommended for all students participating in our full-scale productions. We strive for all students to feel prepared, knowledgeable, and confident in their artistry. It is highly encouraged for all students to add a vocal and dance class to their weekly schedule along with the productions to become a triple threat on stage.

BROADWAY BOOTCAMP is for the young performer ready to become a ‘triple threat’! In this high-energy class, performers will sing, dance, and act their way through favorite Broadway-style songs and scenes. In a session of Broadway Bootcamp, students will be able to:

Participate in group singing by matching pitch and proper vocal technique

Name and demonstrate foundational dance steps

Perform memorized lines or lyrics from a short script and/or song

Improve stage presence and confidence by learning musical theatre production numbers as an ensemble

Showcases: All classes culminate in a showcase performance at another venue. Families will be given more information about the showcase timing, ticketing, and other details after the session begins.
